We are a family owned textile manufacturer situated in Clitheroe, Lancashire since 1906. We wish to thank our customers and our skilled workforce for enabling the company to celebrate its centenary year in 2006.

We are proud of our history which we regard as a testament to the adapatablity of our business to the ever changing demands of the textile industry.
For over one hundred years James Thornber Limited has produced the finest of high quality fabrics and continues to do so through innovation and design.

We supply major companies in the Domestic and Contract Upholstery market and also have a very strong presence in the Retail Trade to which we can offer a large selection of fabrics and designs.

Our in-house design department enables us to meet our customers exact requirements and remain at the forefront of fashion trends.

For over 200 years and seven generations the Thornber family has guided the company in an ever changing world - from the days of the hand loom through the Industrial Revolution and now to the thoroughly modern weaving operation using 'state of the art' machinery and processes.

Today we continue to have the same enthusiasm and total committment to quality, innovation and customer service that has enabled James Thornber Limited to evolve into one of the leading textile manufacturers in the UK.
